Animus is the guardian of the Wild Zords. He is also a megazord that was defeated 3000 years ago by Master Org in the war between Orgs and Humans. Although he was destroyed, he came back 3000 years later and he was an image came for several episodes. When Zen-Aku was causing trouble for the Rangers, telling Zen-Aku to "remember". He also made a deal with the Princess that she and Merrick would perform "Ode to Nature" to the Deer Wild Zord in-exchange for the Deer's services. When General Nayzor was resurrected for the second time, he helped the Rangers escape danger. Animus then finally made his grand return when Flute Org had control over the Wild Force Megazord, helping the Rangers out. Animus would appear from out of nowhere when the Rangers would need his help. Later, something appeared to be bothering Animus, the fact that humans were polluting the Earth. After taking the Wild Zords away from the Rangers as a punishment, he was revealed to be the boy Kite. The Rangers then proved to Animus/Kite that they didn't need the Wild Zords, and eventually, Animus gave back the Wild Zords and claimed taking the Wild Zords away was a "test" of their strive to protect the Earth. He went away for awhile, but when Master Org rose from the Nexus and threatened the Earth, Animus came back for a rematch from 3000 years ago. He fought bravely along with Merrick and the Predazord, but ended up being destroyed. It is unknown if he is still alive, but probably is due to the fact the other Wild Zords and others that weren't shown on the show were resurrected.

One of Animus's attack is the Fin Bow Lightning Crasher which he uses his horns as a bow and his saw shark as an arrow charged with golden lightning. It then crashes through an org destroying it (thanks to Frances Fillbrunn for info).
