Merrick is the Lunar Wolf Power Ranger. 3000 years ago, he was involved in the war between the Orgs and the humans. Merrick fought alongside the anicent warriors. When Master Org defeated Animus, Merrick decided as a last resort to go the Anicent City and retrieve the wolf mask that would give him the power to defeat Master Org. He also put Princess Shayla into a sleep mode, and five Wild Zords on the Animarium, and sent them into the sky until they were needed again. Merrick successively defeated Master Org with his Predazord that but later became under the control of the mask, turning him into an Org and making him evil. He was imprisoned and buried, until one day, Nayzor re-awoke him. For awhile he was beating up the rangers until Animus kept reminding him to remember. Zen-Aku (merrick became confused). Nayzor didn't want him remembering, so he put a fly that disrupted his memories. Zen-Aku's powers were strong at every full moon, and at sunrise, Zen-Aku would become Merrick.
Merrick is a ranger who prefers to be alone, although he will help his friends when they need his services. The wind will blow in his face. He is also a good flute player, accompanying Princess Shayla when she sings "Ode to Nature". Merrick is also a good flute player.
Merrick commands the Alligator, Hammerhead Shark, and Wolf Wild Zords. He also affectively uses his Lunar Cue.
