"Lionheart" Written by: William Winkler Directed by: Koichi Sakamoto 2/2/02
We're in a forest, and we see a waterfall. The camera moves onto what is probably a 500 year old tree, and then some tarzan guy swinging on a rope. We see some jungle boy, and is asking his friend monkey, Mego, if he's hungary. The chimp talks monkey language, and the jungle boy says he is too. Cole tells his friend that they are going to get bananas (that's a nice diet when you're starving). The two are now sitting, but only the chimp is eating the banana. Jungle boy asks the chimp where he puts all that food (well he sure doesn't hide it!). The chimp does the usual monkey language stuff. Then, someone yells out "Cole" (that's probably the jungle boy's name, good thing it wasn't Tarzan!). We see a pretty big guy (and that's a good thing when you're in a tribe, I think it's a compliment, like in Mexico I guess, being fat is usually a compliment since that means you are wealthy or something like that). The guy says it's time to get ready for the ceremony and urges him to "come on" (hope they're not sacrificing an animal to eat). Cole now has picked up a banana and claims he will be right there. It's suddenly night now, and the place looks like tribal council from "Survivor" (If it's changed, I'm sorry since Thursday nights are reserved for WWE Smackdown! now). People are sitting around a fire on benches (wonder if they got marshmallows). We see what looks like a tribal leader. Cole is on his knees, I guess paying respect to him. The tribal leader is telling Cole that he has lived there since before he could walk and that they have always treated them as one of there own, and now it is the time for Cole to follow his own life path. Cole accepts his fate. The tribal leader hands him something that he says they found near the grass where they found him as a baby. Cole accepts the two objects, a photo, and a red bouncy ball. Cole looks at them, and there are a mother and a father with a baby, and a guy off to the side but the part is ripped off (must have been kicked out of the family). The tribal leader says that maybe those objects can lead him to his destiny. Cole looks at the two in amazement (whatever you do, don't eat the red ball). We see Cole now hugging the tribal leader, as it is day now. Everyone in the tribe is out I guess. Cole hugs another tribal elite. Now, we see a wooden canoe the shore, and Cole sitting in it. Two guys push it off the shore and tell him good luck. Cole waves to everyone back at the tribe as they wave back, telling Cole "bye" (someone said "Oayo", Japanese for "goodbye"). Then, we hear some narrator say that there is comes a time in everyone's life when they must have the courage to seek out their destiny. The narrator goes on to say that sometimes what you seek isn't always what you find (OK, that sorta confused me, I had to rewind that whole speech 7 times to understand and get the right words). We're in the city now, and it's dark, and we hear some sirens in the background (wow, Cole's a pretty fast rower, he looked to be in the middle of nowhere when he first started his journey). We see traffic, and then a monster who jets to atop a building. We see a White Ranger, with a tiger design on the helmet. The White Ranger is hitting the monster with a dagger. She then gets hit and knocked to the ground. The monster jumps to another building. We see the white ranger looking. Then, a black ranger with a bison design on the helmet kicks his legs and the monster falls. The black ranger picks him up and drives him into a wall, cracking the concrete. The black ranger throws him down 500 feet onto some boxes. Then, we see a blue ranger jump from the water. The blue ranger picks him up and brings him into the H20. The blue ranger tries to slap but gets hit, and then tries again but the montser has what I think is a fan, blows the blue ranger away in the high-pressured water. The monster leaps back up but is intercepted by a yellow ranger with an eagle design on the helmet. The yellow ranger can also fly. The yellow ranger sends the monster down. The Yellow Ranger and the monster exchange hits at the same time. The monster is about to hit the downed ylelow ranger when a baton from what is probably the white ranger makes the save and gives a 1-2 punch combo to the monster. The yellow and white ranger stand side to side, along with the blue and black, surrounding him. Then, what is probably another monster, something send red thunder at the four rangers and hitting them pretty bad. We see the two monsters, the new one looks like he has a lot of energy (must have those energizer batteries). He fires again at the yellow and white rangers and they are hit pretty bad. Then, out of nowhere, the blue and black rangers hit some metal objects even though they weren't shown hit on camera. The two monsters then leave. As the saying goes, the monster devides to leave like a tree and leave (or make like a banana and split, your choice). Strangely, during that whole fight, there was only sound effects. The blue ranger demorphs, and we see the first human ranger. He's unhappy, but says those guys (monsters) were strong. He holds his neck. Then he asks the black ranger, who he calls Danny, if he's ok. The black ranger demorphs as Max puts his shoulder on him. Danny says he is but it's the fact that they've never seen two orgs (I guess that's the term for monsters in Wild Force) together (maybe the Orgs got smarter, there are more strength in numbers). Danny says that something has changed (yeah, they got a brain!). The white ranger goes over the blue ranger and Danny and says that she agrees, she can feel it, and says that they need a fifth ranger and puts her right hand over her heart. She also demorphs. The yellow ranger jumps from somewhere, and tells them to calm down, and says they are just doing fine the way they are (actually they were before the second Org came). The yellow ranger doesn't seem too happy though, with her arms folded across her chest. All four are wearing vests and beneath the vests, colored shirts of their ranger color. On the back, are pictures of their animals and an adjective describing their animal. It's day now, and we see the canoe of Cole, standing and rowing (what happened to his chimp friend?). Cole says he made it, and yells it out (next thing you know, "I'M KING OF THE WORLD!") as we see zoom out and see Cole's canoe approaching the city. We see Cole now walking in the city, with all your regular business people. Cole is in rags (worse than Maya was when she first appeared I might add). He's wearing a ragged shirt (couldn't the tribe give him better clothes when they sent him off?), sandals, and some baggy ripped off pants. Cole is also carrying the picture that was given to him back at the ceremony. He looks up, and then we hear a car alarm in the back. Everyone walks by him as he tries to ask someone if he's seen the people in the picture. He even freightens one lady. Cole seems determined though, when he sees a street lights. He goes and climbs it. Pretty fast too. When he reaches the top, he holds his picture out and looks at it. Cole looks out on the city (with lots of traffic signs and people on the streets) and tells himself it's not going to be easy (he's right on that). It's night now, and Cole has no luck as he sits on a bench and looks at a picture. Then, a dog comes running in and Cole tells him hello. Cole has the dog on his lap and tells him that he is looking for the people in the picture, and asks if he has seen them (I'm pretty sure the dog has). Cole then says he's right, it is a big city, a very big city. The dog runs off, and Cole laughs. Cole then decides to take a nap (must not be comfortable). We see now what are probably two animal control people put the dog in the back of a van. We see a lady saying she can't believe that people treat those creatures (dogs) like pets. She does the signals with her hands signaling that she probably thought the dog had rabies. Another guy closes the back (he has long hair and is wearing a purple hat). The dog barks, and Cole wakes up and senses the dog is in trouble. We see the dog in the window. COle runs, stops, and then runs after it (I presume). We're in a place called "Turtledyne Laboratories", that is fenced off. Inside, we see dogs in cages and some guy saying they finally stolen all the animals they need and closes a cage door. The lady from earlier with a net says all that hard work makes her hungary. We see the dog from earlier, who looks calm but then rest his head. We see Cole jump from a fence, and then run like he was an animal. He opens all the cages, and it looks like a scene from Homeward Bound (or some movie like that), as all the dogs run out. The lady catcher is about to eat a pizza and the guy is reading a paper when they see the pets loose. We even see pigs and goats! The two go out and see Cole. The lady points her finger and demands to konw how he got in there. They go up to him, and Cole lashes out his arm. The two are intimidated (yeah, probably by his smell and his clothes). The lady backs off, and Cole jumps way up high. He then reaches a roof, and then jumps off of that. Then, the screen becomes a pool screen, and we see some lady dressed in a wedding dress look into the pool (I'd like to call it the tron, in-honor of the "Titan-Tron" used in the WWF). Cole looks up, laughs, and then runs (wonder what he ate for lunch). We see the lady again, as she holds a brace on her necklace, and tells the rangers via communication that she thinks she may have found the anwswer to their problems. She says this as Cole is running with the animals, and a moon that takes up the entire screen (or an asteroid that is about to hit the Earth). We see the two stooges from earlier run out, and the guy calls her friend "Toxica", and says he missed the old days. Toxica seems to have run out of breath, and says the old days. The guy says the power and the glory, if only there were only a way the master could return to them (the boss?). Then, an Org flies by. The guy grabs Toxica's shoulders and ask if she saw that. Toxica is stunned. The guy said it was an Org, one of them. Toxica says that could only mean one thing, there master has returned (and they said it at the same time). They celebrate and turn into, well, Orgs. They laugh. Toxica has a staff, and the other guy has swords. We see Cole sleeping on a bench. We see the white ranger from last name wake up Cole and ask him if he is Cole. Cole flinches and stands up immediately. Cole looks at everyone suspicously and fiercely. Alyssa says it's ok, they need him to come with them. The blue ranger tells him to "come on man" as he tries to grab Cole's arm and walk backwards but Cole immediately withdraws his arm. Cole walks backwards right into big Danny. Danny says he can come with them but has trouble saying the rest. Max takes it from there and says that Danny is right, it's really important. We see the yellow ranger's face, and it doesn't look pleased. Alyssa says he can help them save lives (he already rescues animals). Yellow ranger then immediately walks up, grabs his shoulder, punches Cole in the abdomen, and Taylor tells what she calls him "jungle boy", that she's sorry, but he's just been drafted. Yellow ranger walks away (haha! Although I'm not too sure if Cole is even ready for the army, I bet he doesn't know what clean underwear is!). Yellow ranger walks away, and Cole falls backwards while squatting, and Danny catches him. Danny takes a whiff of what Cole was cooking, and turns his head the other way, and says that he thinks he needs a bath. Alyssa walks away as well. We see some leaves, and then we see Cole, sleeping again (how many naps does this guy need?). Cole wakes up, to see he is in another place. He gets up, and notices an eagle. Cole runs up and climbs a rock. We see the nice sceneary, and the eagle fly up to a mountain top. Cole says more it's more beautiful than home. Cole runs down to a lake, and he hears a roar of a tiger and bison. The bison snuffs out air from his noise that sends Cole flying backwards into small pond. Then we see a shark dive, and eagle fly. The eagle continues to fly and we see four Wild Zords together. We then see a lion atop a cliff roaring (Lion King?). Cole gets up, and says he hears him. He's climbing the cliff now (pretty good rock climber). Guess not, when he grabs a broken rock, he falls, and is forced to hold on with one hand. Cole then looks down, and says it can't be, that it's a floating island (guess they had geography classes in his tribe). We zoom out and see Cole hanging on for his life, and the lion. We then see a whole shot of the island. I'll call it the big turtle. Cole is still hanging on with one hand, as the lion leaps in the air and Cole flinches and falls to the ground below. Cole is amazed and tells the lion he's never seen anything like that before. Cole then stands up and asks the lion if he's been searching for him (guess Cole understands animals). Then, Cole reaches into his pocket (surprised he has one) and sees a red glowing ball. He holds it and brings it closely to his eye, as we see a lion inside, and says that the figure inside the ball is him. We see Cole cautiously walk through the jungle. We then see the lovely lady from before, who just smiles. Cole walks up the steps. The lady speaks to Cole now; "Hello friend, I am Princess Shayla. And this is the Animarium". We get shots of animal statues. Princess Shayla says that Cole has been chosen to be the leader of the Power Rangers Wild Force, keeper of the animal spirits. Cole has the look of "I have no idea what you're talking about" (I'll laugh if he brings out a Joel, flat out saying no). Cole looks around, and we see a stairway, and the blue ranger from earlier come down and Danny. Then, we see the white and yellow rangers on the other side (how did they get there?). The four walk over to Princess Shayla. Cole looks like he's ready for battle. Princess Shayla walks up to Cole and tells him that he's already met his fellow rangers (yeah, they gave him a nice welcome gift). Princess Shayla introduces each of them, Alyssa (White ranger) who gives a nice "hi", Danny (knew his name already) with a nodd, Max (blue ranger) puts his hands up and gives a "what's up", and Taylor (yellow ranger) who seems thrilled. Cole asks if she wants him, and thinks it's a mistake (I wouldn't want some jungle kid to lead me). Princess Shayla seems nice as she doesn't mind Cole's stinch. The Princess says that there is no mistake, he has been chosen to help them in the battle against the evil Orgs. Alyssa tells Cole that they're sorry they had to kidnapp him (wow, Cole's had it rough, first he gets sent out of the tribe, and now he ends up with five strangers). Danny studders as he tries to tell Cole they were all like him. Max slaps his hand on Danny shoulder and says exactly, they're all kind of new to this, and says it's great. Cole says he came here to find his destiny, and then reaches in his pocket, and holds out the red ball from earlier. The other rangers hold out there animal balls, and Cole's eyes are wide-opened. The pond (I meant the Tron) from earlier erupts. Everyone looks into the pond, except Cole. The eruption stops to reveal an image of the two Orgs from earlier. Taylor tells everyone to move out. The four rangers leave, but Cole just stands there. Alyssa asks Cole if he will join them. Cole just looks. We see the Org from earlier. The Org laughs and claims that soon, the Orgs will rule again. The Org turns on his fans and all the citizens are getting blown away. The electric Org says that it's time for real fire power. He shoots at a pole and it blows up. Some birds fly away. Little apes scour. The rangers rush over to see the action. People are shown running away from I guess a dam. Alyssa sees it's the Orgs from the last night. Cole notices something, walks up, and sees the monkey and rabbit run away. Cole says that he hears the animals, and panically he says that they're frieghtened, and asks the rangers if there's someway he can stop it. Taylor says if the lion chose the right person. Max comes up and says it's going to be dangerous. Cole then asks everyone to tell him what he has to do. Taylor grabs Cole's hand, and tells him to take the Growl Phone, and do what as they do. Cole says he doesn't understand. Taylor tells Cole to not worry, he will. Alyssa, Max, and Danny nod their head, as does Cole. The rangers yell "Wild Access!". We see the morphing process. Cole gets a whole screen while the other four rangers get one like in a four-player Mario Kart on the Nintendo 64. We see all the rangers morphed. Taylor says "Soaring Eagle", and flies with the built in wings on her suit. As she is in the air, she calls her Crystal Sabre and immediately hits the Org with the fans. The Org asks if she learned her lesson. Taylor guesses she didn't, but she tells the Org to let her teach something. She opens up the claws in her hand, and says she's the Yellow Eagle Ranger, slams her hands on the ground, and says Wild Force never gives up. Max comes in and hits the Org a few times, and then does a nice backwards flip. Max calls the Org "Turbine Org" and says he's the Blue Shark Ranger, and does the slamming the ground thing. He tells Turbine Org he's gonna feel his bite. Danny comes in and drives the Org with electricity into a tree. Danny tells the Org to meet the Black Bison Ranger, and tells "Plug Org" to prepare to be stunned. He also slams his hands to the ground. Alyssa comes flying down vertically from a tree and hits Plug Org with her claws. Plug Org asks Alyssa who does she thinks he is. Alyssa says thanks for asking, and says she is the Tiger ranger, then slams her hands on the ground and says "Wild Force". We see Cole now running what I could say ape style. He runs into Plug Org and knocks him over. Cole says he's the Red Lion Ranger and tells Plug Org his rampage ends there. Cole also slams his hands to the ground. Turbine Org has reved up his fans. Max and Taylor are flown back a few feet. All the rangers meet up now. Plug Org and Turbine Org decide to partner up, and they combine their firepower. It hits the rangers, and there are explosions. Cole is shown flying and he lands a feet away from the two Orgs. Cole then feels something in his chest roaring, and tells the other rangers to listen. Taylor immediately gets up and says this is no time to talk, they have to get rid of those Orgs. Taylor then runs to somewhere. Cole holds Taylor back and tells her she has to listen, the lion just spoke to him. Taylor and Max are surprised. Danny asks Cole what he just said. Cole said again the lion spoke to him, and he said that only one can defeat two (didn't they watch the episode "Two Heads Are Better than One?" Teamwork Cole). Cole says he thinks they have to combine their weapons and work together. Alyssa says it makes sense, and that she wants to try it. Cole asks if they are with him. Danny is with it. Everyone else probably agreed since they are in a formation now. All the rangers hold out their weapons and say their animal. They say the names of their weapons. Without describing them (go to the Wild Force weapons section for that), the names of the weaposn are follows (and you can figure out which weapon goes to each ranger). Red Lion Fang, Golden Eagle Sword, Blue Shark Fighing Fins, Black Bison Axe, White Tiger Baton. The rangers all combine their weapons, and Cole says "Wild Force Jungle Sword". Plug Org decides to charge. We see the impressive Jungle Sword. We see the scene; Cole turns the Jungle Sword (with two rangers behind each shoulder) clockwise from "12", and then when he reaches "12" a second time, he slashes down the middle. The attack is called "Savage Slash". Cole says that did it, as Plug Org is slashed in half and is destroyed. There's one Org remaining, as the five rangers do the regular poses that come after defeating an Org. Turbine Org runs away and asks himself "Why didn't he wait, we could have beaten them together". Turbine Org struggles away when Toxica and the other guy transformed from earlier. Toxica takes an interest him and the other dude says "impressive". He notices they only have one horn and notices they are Duke Orgs. Toxica says "Yes my terrible Turbine, and we have a way to... help you". We see the rangers still morphed, and Max says they have to find that other Org (when the rangers were off posing, the Org got away!). Cole says he knows he went that way. Taylor is convinced Turbine Org is hiding nearby. Taylor adds in that he couldn't have gotten too far. Then, behind them, a giant Turbine Org stands up (well rises) and says that the rangers have no chance against him now. Princess Shayla watches on the tron. Princess Shayla says they have never gotten that big before. Turbine Org swings at a building and breaks it. Taylor says she can't believe it, and wonders how it got that big (yeah me too). Cole says he doesn't know and claims he's going to stop it, and jumps 1000 feet in the air holding his Crystal Sabre. He gets swatted down by Turbine Org and falls down. Turbine Org says he is having fun. Cole says that it is not good. Cole then notices his sabre is glowing. He looks in the hole of his Crystal Sabre, and then notices a red glow in his other hand. The red flash becomes his crystal from earlier. They also appear in the other rangers hands. Taylor is amazed and says her crystal is glowing too. Princess Shayla tells the rangers that the time has come to put their Animal Crystals into their Crystal Sabres and call the Wild Zords from the Animarium. The rangers do just that. They fit perfectly and even give off a nice glow. Cole says it's working, and to call the Wild Zords. We hear some sound on the big turtle (like a siren for the Wild Zords, but doesn't sound annoying). The lion is now roaring as he runs, the eagle soars, the tiger growls, the bison raors as does the shark. The rangers hold out their Crystal Sabres and call their Wild Zords to ascend. They become red streaks as they fly off the Animarium to the Earth. There's some like magical, rainbow stairway for the zords to run on. We see the zords run now. Taylor notes that have never left the Animarium before. Danny says it's amazing. Alyssa notes that it looks like they've come to help them fight (well one thing they didn't come from the Animarum for was food). Cole is pleased with the Wild Zords. We see the Lion pounce right on Turbine Org, knocking him on his back. Turbine Org manages to get the Lion Wild Zord off of him by pushing him with his legs, but the Lion Zord lands right on his feet. Alyssa cheers on her tiger as it rolls into a ball. Then, claws come out and hits the Turbine Org. Max cheers on his shark and tells him to let him have it. Danny tells his Bison Zord to take him down. We now see the flying shark and the charging bison, as the shark and bison make impact at the same time. We see the Eagle Zord, flap its wings and create some fire against Turbine Org. Taylor tells her zord to go for it. Cole says he's still standing. The lion is shown, then the other zords come. Cole tells the rangers to remember how they beat the first Org, by working as one, now they should do it again. We see a pie shot of all the Wild Zords. We see the rangers in-front of their big Wild Zords. Turbine Org says he's so scared. The rangers hold out their Crystal Sabres and they fire off colored beams, as do the Wild Zords, and they send Turbine Org flying backwards and he blows up. The rangers celebrate. Cole looks down at a bridge, and he says "unbelivable". The narrator is back, and says "the journey begins, destiny has brought five young people together, and now they set off on their wild adventure". We see shots of the rangers still morphed. Cole throws out his fist and yells "yeah", as we see the Wild Zords. Surprisngly, no "executive producers", mainly Haim Saban.
