We see the rangers at the Big Turtle. We see the rangers sitting, with Taylor sitting the farthest away from the group. Princess Shayla is sitting in a wooden chair (hey, I thought they don't cut down trees in the animal world) with the other four rangers sitting around her. Cole tells Princess Shayla that Animus showed up again and spoke to Zen-Aku. Max said that Animus told Zen-Aku that he had to "remember" (why didn't Animus tell Zen-Aku what he HAD to remember, instead of making him do it himself, what if he destroys the world the next day? And THEN he remembers? What a situation that would be). Max then says "remember what?". Princess Shayla says that last night, she had a vision (like every other night) that Animus appeared to her. The other rangers are puzzled, as probably are you. We see a fire now, and the Princess says that he told her what happened 3000 years ago. We look on the tron (the pool screen) and we see the megazord Animus. She says that after Master Org was defeated.

Then we go straight to another scene that probably makes you puzzled. We're with Zen-Aku now with some guys who look like Quantrons from Power Rangers in Space. Zen-Aku is saying that he used the wolf mask to destroy Master Org, but now he can't remove it. It's making him evil (talking to the guys who look like Quantrons, presumably they're good) and that soon he will attack them. He tries to pull his face off but can't and he drops to the ground. He says that they must destroy him and begs them since that is the only way they can be safe. Zen-Aku grabs one guy who just says "no" and says they can't harm a friend. Zen-Aku tells the guys that they don't understand and says that he can't control it much longer. He continues to go out of control, and starts grabbing his face. Then, we see the change from good to evil as he stops grabbing his face and looks straight at the guys. He gets his Crescent Blade as we see the guys grab their Crystal Sabres (woah here, are these the Ancient Rangers Princess Shayla keeps yapping about?). Zen-Aku is swinging at the Ancient Rangers as we'll call them now and he's missing left and right (guess he's been practicing for 3000 years since today, he wouldn't have missed those swings). Then, one ranger grabs his Crystal Sabre after another and they hit Zen-Aku, who seems like he had no skills 3000 years ago, or the rangers back then were better. Then, the rangers put their Crystal Sabres into a rock (what is this, Lost Galaxy? Animals, putting swords into rocks, the term "3000 years", a guy who was thought to be gone 3000 years ago comes back), and one ranger says to forgive them (to Zen-Aku) and that his sacrifice will save them all. We see the scene Zen-Aku always replays in his mind, the one where the Ancient Rangers surround him in a circle and Zen-Aku is surrounded in a circle of energy, and then is burned. Then, some guy says to sleep peacefully, and blurts the name "Merrick". Then we see a gray box and is wrapped around with chains.

We're back with Princess Shayla who didn't narrate her story. She's day-dreaming again as Danny realizes that Zen-Aku is Merrick. He asks how can they make him Merrick again. There's a moment of silence as Princess Shayla simply says she doesn't know. Max says that if they can figure out what power controls the wolf mask, maybe they can break the curse (too bad they don't have Billy to figure that one out). There's another pause, then Alyssa tells everyone to think back to when they first met Zen-Aku. We see Danny and Cole thinking. Cole says it was in the forest at night. We see a full moon, then Zen-Aku jumping a thousand feet in the air, in front of the moon. Alyssa says, "Yeah, and it was a full moon!", in a voice that seems really high-pitched and annoying. Cole then says that they're pretty sure that the guy Cole saw that one night, was really Zen-Haku (the way Cole said it). But he says the couldn't see his face because it was so dark. We go back, and we see the guy bathing in the lake with the little wolf. Cole realizes at that time, there wasn't a moon in the sky. Alyssa yells, "That's it!". Taylor adds in that the moon gives Zen-Aku his power. Princess Shayla is staring at something once again when the fountain erupts. Princess Shayla realizes that "It's him". The rangers run as Princess Shayla is running.

We see Zen-Aku on top of a cliff, it's dark, and there's a full moon (what? how can it be dark when it wasn't dark on the Animarium? The rangers must have taken forever to get to Zen-Aku). We see the rangers unmorphed, as Cole yells at Zen-Aku, telling him they know who he really is (I don't think he can hear them, they're pretty far away from the angle we are given). Max tells Zen-Aku that he's human. Danny says that he used to be good, not evil. Zen-Aku says his name, and adds, evil Duke Org and warrior, and says that he will show them his power. He fires energy from his Crescent Blade and it hits all the rangers. Then they morph automatically. The rangers are still on the ground though, recovering from the blast. Zen-Aku goes down to where the rangers are laying. Alyssa says that Zen-Aku used to be one of them, on the same team. Then she says that they can't fight him (well, they have been for the last few episdodes). Zen-Aku says they can't, but he will and fires once again. The rangers are shown getting hit once again.

We're in the evil palace place as Master Org has the item that has the Animal Crystals in it, recieved by Nayzor from Zen-Aku. Master Org is looking at the crystals with delight. He compliments Nayzor, and says he's very pleased with his work (it was really Zen-Aku's work). Nayzor thanks him. Jindrax and Toxica are watching from behind a rock. Toxica complains about Nayzor's idea, on why didn't they think of putting the bug Toxica called "stupid" in Zen-Aku's head. Nayzor thens tells Master Org to observe his final victory, and gives him a plate. Master Org looks at it, and we see a screen of the rangers lying on the ground. The scene then shifts to the tron where Princess Shayla is watching. She's worried, then amazed as a light appears, and we see Animus.

We see the rangers now walking backwards into a cave. Cole tells Zen-Aku that he has to stop it. Zen-Aku says that all he has to do is to destroy them. Taylor says that it leaves them no choice but to fight. The rangers go and fight and they all get hit. Cole looks like he has Zen-Aku as he is holding Zen-Aku's Crescent Blade under his arm but just gets flipped. The rangers gather in one area across from Zen-Aku. Taylor asks Cole if he's alright. Cole says he is. Zen-Aku gets in the conversation by saying not for long, and that they'll all be destroyed. Zen-Aku calls Cole "Lion Ranger", Cole says he is listening. Zen-Aku then loads his Crescent Blade as we hear a "click", and tells Cole that he's the first (sucks to be him). He fires his Crescent Blade, but it hits all the rangers (I thought he was only supposed to hit Cole). The rangers demorph and all hit some part of the cave walls. The rangers lie on the cave floor as Zen-Aku says he's waited many moons to avenge what has happened to him. "Tonight, is that night", Zen-Aku says, pointing his Crescent Blade in-front of Cole's face.

We're with Cole, who is terrified and telling Zen-Aku to not do it. The other rangers watch in nervousness. Zen-Aku says that his wait is finally over. He's brings his blade back, and is going to hammer it down but it's in slow motion. Every second that passes by, each of the other four rangers watch in horror. As it is about to hit Cole, the blade stops an inch from his head. We see Zen-Aku now go crazy as he starts holding his head again and dropping his blade. Master Org watches it on his plate and wonders why he is stopping. We see the moon as something is blocking it. Princess Shayla realizes Animus has done something to do with the moon. We see something blocking the moon as Zen-Aku is still in pain. He's now on his knees, and on the ground. All the rangers watch him as the moon is finally blocked. Zen-Aku then becomes one of those Quantrons I was talking about earlier. The rangers are shocked as the guy takes off his helmet. We see some guy with brown hair, as he stares at the rangers, and says "Wild Force Rangers". Cole says "Merrick", and Cole says he knew that he was the guy he saw at the lake. We go back to where Merrick was in the lake with the wolf. He's pulling back his hair and then he turns around and we see his face. Cole just looks on. Alyssa goes up to Merrick and tells him he is one of them. Merrick says "Once", and that a long time ago that was true. But now he's controlled under of Zen-Aku, and he's controlled by evil spirits. Danny asks "How did it happen?". Merrick pauses and thinks, and says 3000 years ago, Animus fought Master Org in a final battle. We see the battle, with Animus in his whole megazord form and Master Org, who looks like a black alien, can't really describe it, and it looks intense, as sparks are flying everywhere. Merrick says the battle with the Orgs was very bad for them. He says Animus was destroyed and they lost all hope. We see Merrick now, looking the same as he is 3000 years later, as he says he heard of a cursed wolf mask and it's incredible powers, and that legend has it that it was in the ancient city. He said he knew it had evil powers, but it was the only way to stop Master Org. We see Merrick now in the city, where he says he found the den of General Nayzor. He's trying to open it, and does, it's pretty heavy and big. He finds the mask of Zen-Aku, the cursed one. We see it just lying their, with daggers everywhere a little bit away from it. Merrick says that the legends were true, that just the sight of the mask drew him to the powers uncontrollably. Merrick is picking up the mask, when we see what is probably Nayzor come from a sliding rock door (they had those back then) who says that he has made a grave mistake and calls him "warrior". Nayzor then fires at Merrick who flees. We see Merrick running , with Merrick narrorating that with Princess Shayla and the five Wild Zords safe in the sky on the Animarium, he did what needed to be done, and put on the mask (he's a Luchadore now, heh). He looks up to Master Org in what I'll call his alien mode. Merrick has three animal crystals in his right hand, and says, "Evil spirit of the wolf, fill me with aboslute power!". He holds up his Animal Crystals I think and we see three streaks of energy in the sky. We then see the Predazord cockpit, with Merrick in the cockpit. He narrarates that the wolf mask gave him great power, and it was the evil power of the mask that helped him defeat Master Org. We see Merrick use "Predator Wave" as it fires on Master Org. Master Org is instantly destroyed (if it destroyed Master Org in one hit, how come it didn't destroy the Wild Force Megazord? Must have gotten weaker). Merrick narrarates that by using the power of the mask, he was cursed and couldn't remove the mask. He then says he became Zen-Aku. We see Merrick in the cockpit, struggling, like he did 3000 years ago (wait, we are 3000 years ago). We see Merrick's face in the mask, now transforming into the Zen-Aku we see today.

We see Merrick 3000 years later now, sitting, as he says he's sorry for all the evil things he did as Zen-Aku. Cole doesn't care as he asks how can the curse be broken. Merrick says he's not worthy of their help, and that he's cursed to walk alone. Taylor steps forward and says that if they can break the curse, he can be a ranger again, and help them and Princess Shayla battle the Orgs. Merrick is surprised by the name "Princess Shayla", and asks if she's awake. Alyssa says that she is the one who recruited them. Cole then asks Merrick if he'll let them help him. Merrick just stares as the rangers look eager to help. Merrick says if it will help the Princess, he says he'll tell them what he knows.

We see now an angry Master Org, who screams, "Nayzor!". He walks up to him and tells him to get the wolf under control. Nayzor's eyes blink and says "at once". The eclipse of the moon is starting to go away now as Merrick is holding his head again. We see the Princess look anxious as she's watching the tron. She's pleading as she says to someone that they need more time. The eclipse is going faster as Danny and Cole are holding Merrick. Max (too weak to help I guess) just says "Merrick". Merrick is telling the rangers to destroy him before the full moon returns and he becomes Zen-Aku again, then he says that before he destroys them all. Cole, like the rangers 3000 years ago, say they can't do it. Merrick breaks free from Danny and Cole's hold (Max is standing their, looking scared) as he runs off, holding his face. Princess Shayla is about to cry as she cries, "Merrick!".

It's daytime now, as we see the rangers just shouting "Merrick" in the middle of a canyon. Danny says they've looked everywhere (why don't they just get on their Savage Cycles? They would cover more ground). Cole says that he is there somewhere, and adds he can feel it. We then see a black blurb as it hits the rangers. The blurb then goes to the cliff and we see it's Zen-Aku. The rangers are lying on the ground, they get up, and see Zen-Aku swing his blade and say, "This is where it ends".

We see Princess Shayla, not watching the last scene, tells herself Merrick didn't get cursed by Zen-Aku when he put on the mask, as we flashback to when Merrick was calling the powers of the wolf mask. She realizes that he became cursed when his Wild Zords (alligator, shark, and wolf) became Dark Wild Zords. We see shots of the Predazord. Princess Shayla then says that Zen-Aku uses his flute to call the Wild Zords, as we see a demonstration with Zen-Aku and we see his three zords and yet another different tune played by Zen-Aku. Princess Shayla tells herself that the three zords become the Predazord (finally, after three episodes). She then realizes again that the Dark Zords hold the power of the curse. She then tells Cole to destroy the Predazord (yeah right, the Wild Force Megazord doesn't have half the strength of the Predazord).

We see the rangers on the ground listening on their Growl Phones (they were listening to their phones the whole time? How? I don't see a mic on Princess Shayla, how can the rangers hear this? man, nature and technology don't mix to me).

With the rangers, we hear that it will release the evil from Merrick's zords and destroy the curse. Cole says he gots it. Then the rangers morph. Then the rangers call their Wild Zords.

Zen-Aku knew there was going to be a fight so he's already assembled his machine. Down below, Danny says that the Predazord is really powerful, Cole says that they have to find the strongest combination of zords. Danny goes to his Crystal Sabre, as the Animal Crystal in it glows. He picks it up, and asks it what it wants (maybe it's hungry). The bison is moving its head, and Danny picks it up as, "His friend is coming". He asks what could it mean. We see some white thing rolling towards the rangers. Danny picks it up, as it's a circle thing with legs. The eyes glow on the fella, as Danny has two Animal Crystals in his hand now (better put those away, before Zen-Aku snatches them). Danny asks if the fellow is giving them to him (of course, to give to Zen-Aku later when he beats you up). The little guy then makes a sound, and goes away, and becomes larger, as we see he's an armored bug I think, and he goes on top of a rhino (wow, now there's power). Cole points out that the Bison zord called out for new zords to help them out. Danny is amazed and says, "Looks like it". The Rhino keeps going as it is heading for the action. Zen-Aku is shocked, as he asks "Where did they come from", (the sky). Max says, "Look at that". Alyssa points out to Danny that the new zords are heading for the Predazord. The armored bug makes a sniff sound, as it goes off the rhino, and both new zords run side-by-side. Danny wonders what the little guy is doing. The little guy rolls up and the rhino hits his head on it and the little guy runs into the Predazord, hitting it. The rangers cheer. Cole says that he bets his new Wild Zords can form a new megazord (how much). Danny says they'll find out as he puts one of his new Animal Crystals in his Crystal Sabre. The Wild Zords combine, the normal procedure, but we see the rhino now as it becomes the legs (it has to play catch-up in the transformation scene). Cole calls the Soul Bird (it's the Soul Bird Baby but oh-well) as the rangers get on it, and go in the megazord. We see a stadium now (huh?) as we see the megazord kicking the little armidillo (I think that's what it's called) with a whole stadium cheering (they came out all the way out their just for that). Then, the armidillo just disappears as the Wild Force Megazord is back in reality. We see the feet of the megazord, jump, and just kick the Predazord, as it jumps back and lands on its feet for a perfect 10. Zen-Aku calls for the Gator Staff. The Wild Force Megazord calls for its staff, and they both hit each other. It's a deadlock now, as both are trying to get the advantage. The Predazord tries to lift up it's arm, but not before the Wild Force Megazord lifts up its leg and both hit at the same time, knocking both megazords backwards.

Princess Shayla, watching the fight, talks to Cole and tells him to aim for the alligator mouth (how can she communicate with him, I don't see any technology equipment anywhere!).

Cole says he gots it, and tells someone to aim for his chest.

In the Predazord cockpit, Zen-Aku says he doesn't think so. He uses Predator Wave as the alligator warms up it's huge blast.

Cole tells everyone to "Move it", the blast misses (if it had the old legs, the megazord would be bye-bye). Danny says it's show time as he gets his Armodillo crystal and puts it into his Crystal Sabre. We see the little guy come out of the rhino legs and spin. The Wild Force Megazord dribbles the little guy as all Zen-Aku can say is "What?". It kicks the armidillo right into the alligator as he can't even eat it or the alligator didn't open his mouth in time (alligators have jaws that close their mouths fast, but their jaws for opening it are slow). Zen-Aku in his cockpit gasps as something explodes (presumably the Predazord) as the armidillo comes out of the blast unharmed and back to the megazord where it is at the stadium, as all the people are cheering (why didn't they just have the battle in the stadium?). We see the armidillo go back into the foot as the Predazord tumbles down. Cole yells "Merrick!". The Predazord is short-circuting as it separates into three animal crystals, and the fly from last episode is gone, destroyed, and the wolf mask is cracked, as we hear someone yell "NOOOOO!".

We see Princess Shayla running now in the forest, with some background music like in opera. She continues to run until she sees Merrick, and goes over to him, as she runs past the cracked Wolf Mask. She attends to him, and is so happy. She hugs him, and touches his face. And then realizes, the rangers are yelling "Merrick", and they are getting closer, Princess Shayla runs and leaves, instead of teleporting. They find him, and attend to him. He was laying down, but Cole jerked him right up, and slaps his face (that's real nice).
