In despiration, to save both zords when the Delta Megazord was under control of Astronoma and the Astro Megazord was being beaten by several monsters, Andros used the Battlizer to combine the Delta and Astro Megazord. There is a little compartment under Andros's control station in the megazord cockpit to insert his Battlizer and activate the Astro-Delta Megazord sequence.

When the two combine, the Delta Megazord acts as armor to the Astro Megazord.

The Astro-Delta Megazord yields some powerful weapons, like the Flying Power Punch (used when 02 on the Battlizer is pressed); the Jiro Blasters on the shoulders, and a move when 03 is pressed (in "Flashes of Darkonda").

Although Darkonda almost destroyed this combination, he didn't, but the two zords were destroyed seprately and cannot be formed ever again.
