Jason David Frank narrates, "Last time, on Power Rangers Dino Thunder." We see Dr. Oliver walking in on Principal Randall morphing into Elsa. Dr. Oliver tells her he knew there was something he didn't like about her. We go to the fight at the school between Dr. Oliver and Elsa. The Rangers are shown discussing that Principal Randall is really Elsa. Trent tries to go back to his evil roots by asking Elsa if his father is going to be happy that she blew it at the school. Elsa tells him no happier than his Ranger pals will be when they find out his father is Mesogog. Trent's mood changes. Elsa gets the Ruby Dragon card, and then we see Dr. Anton Mercer drop it. Ten Dr. Mercer begins to faint, and then the scene goes to him changing into Mesogog in the classroom. Conner looks stunned. They all look at Trent, who looks like he's just seen a ghost.

In Mesogog's castle, we hear Elsa ask, "Master? You rang?" Mesogog is next to a big beaker of red liquid. He says, "Yes, Elsa, I need to ask you something. Whatever made you think you could get away with betraying me?" Elsa asks, "Betray you? I would never..." Mesogog fires that laser from his head at her. Elsa holds her head and makes a short grunting sound. Mesogog must have gone back to the episode last week and found out Elsa's plan. Elsa spills the beans and says she did try to betray Mercer but she did it to only control his one weakness. She holds her had as she says it. Mesogog tells her that her foolish actions have cost her dearly. He says not it is her who must pay the price. He makes the laser more powerful and Elsa goes down to her knees and lies on the ground. Mesogog reaches his hands out and slowly walks over to her. Elsa says she pledges her undying loyalty to her and will never betray him again. Mesogog stops. He bends down and grabs her chin. He tells her, "I know you won't." He stands back up and tells her, "You are right however, about my weakness. As long as he exists, I am vulnerable. Hahhh!" A Tyranodrone gives him a beaker of red liquid. He holds it and says, "That is why I will see to it, that Anton Mercer never returns!" He drinks the beaker. Wouldn't it be easier if he had a straw? Elsa looks at him as Mesogog looks to be trying to turn back into Dr. Mercer. The morphing goes back and forth. Finally, Dr. Anton Mercer comes out of Mesogog and he falls to the ground. For the first time, the two are separate. Dr. Mercer falls to the ground. Mesogog stands over Dr. Mercer as Elsa gasps. He does his, "Hahhh!" breathing noise as he tells someone to get the "useless creature" out of his site. Mesogog adds, "Once and for all." Mesogog leaves him as Tyranodrones drag his body.

In Dr. Oliver's lab, we hear Ethan saying he always knew Dr. Mercer wasn't always PTA material but says that being Mesogog is wack. Dr. Oliver stands with his arms folded, Kira stands there, and Conner paces back and forth trying to be "hardcore" about the situation. Conner says, "I'll tell you what's whack, Trent not telling us, that's whack!" Kira tells them, "Look, I'm as mad as this about you guys are, but don't you think we still owe Trent the chance to explain I mean, maybe there's a really good reason he didn't tell us." Dr. Oliver says he hopes there is and if there's not, he will have to ask Trent to surrender his morpher and give up being a Power Ranger. Conner looks like he wants no part and Ethan looks confused. Kira looks as if she feels bad, but also looks like she's about to smile. Conner asks Kira, "Don't tell me you feel bad for Trent." Ethan says, "Yeah, you want someone you can't trust running around with those powers?" Kira says she just hates for it to end that way for Trent. She says if it were her and she would have to give up her powers she wouldn't know if she could handle it. Conner says, "Oh now that is ironic, I remember when you didn't want to get into it at all." Kira replies, "Yeah right!" We get a flashback to Kira sitting on a table singing with her guitar. I think she was singing the "Freak You Out" song. Not included in that scene was when Prinicpal Randall came up to her and gave her detention. Then we go to Prinicpal Randall in the 1st episode saying, "The three of you have detention for one week starting today! Now if there are no further questions." The three try to make their case. Principal Randall says she didn't think so. She walks out. We're in the forest, from the 1st episode, with Ethan telling Conner and Kira he's just trying to give them the heads up. He's probably talking about the guy in the forest falling in a giant sink hole. He tells them not to come crying to him if they fall in a giant sinkhole. Obviously, Ethan shortly thereafter falls in a giant sinkhole. The other two fall as well. We see the three Rangers now get their Dino Gems without Dr. Oliver's permission. Kira asks what they are. We now see them running, as Kira falls and does her Dino Scream without knowing it to knock away the oncoming Tyranodrones. At school, Conner tells the group they agree not to talk about their "powers" to anyone no matter what. Kira says she can do better than that. She gives Conner her Dino Gem and tells him to forget that she was there. Kira says she admits that first she wasn't into it but now everything is different. We go to the flashback from the second episode where Dr. Oliver presents the briefcase with the three Dino Morphers. He should have gotten a smaller box to make the morphers seem more valuable. The three Rangers pick up the morphers. We go to the scene where the Dino Zords are on the loose, and Ethan asking if his buddies are ready. Kira says, "Oh yeah!" The Rangers morph for the first time. We then go to an unmorphed fight scene for some reason. It's Kira in a bunch of fights she had with Tyranodrones. Then there was the episode with Fossilodor when he knocked her out. Kira and Hayley are walking out of the museum with Kira saying she can't believe it was her fault. Hayley reassures her it wasn't her fault and that it was Fossilodor which controlled her mind. Kira tells her she's going over there. She says nobody messes with her mind and gets away with it. Kira is shown morphing and she instantly morphs. She's fighting morphed now, and we get different snippets of her doing that. She's shown backflipping off her Raptor Cycle and firing her laser. She's shown fighting in a building. Kira tells the group she's changed and says being a Ranger has changed all of them. Kira and Ethan are sitting next to each other on the floor. Kira tells Conner, "Look at you Conner. You are in no way the dumb jock from when we started." Conner asks, "Is that supposed to be a compliment?" Kira tells him, "You know what I mean." Ethans says if Conner doesn't he does. He points to him and tells him he has come a long way, and adds, "bro". We zoom in on Conner's face and he has a smirk on. We see Conner from the first episode with a completely red soccer ball (hideous looking IMO). Ethan is right that he has come a long way, because his hair looks like it's mullet style. We see the goalie with the football helmet on. Conner kicks the ball in the air and does some sort of spinning kick that misses the goalie completely but goes in the goal. The goalie had an assortment of equipment on. Conner tells him, "Dude you're supposed to try and stop it." We then go the forest where Ethan asks Conner what he does in his spare time. Conner says he goes out with girls. He explains to Ethan they're the ones at school that smell really good, the long hair and the makeup. Funny, because Conner has barely been with any girls if any through this entire series. Ethan stops him and asks, "So it's like that?" Conner says it's like that. Before we get any more, the scene shifts to the Tyranodrones going after Conner. Conner uses his super stealth to flash forward to dodge an attack. Conner then does a leg-drop kick on a Tyranodrone. Conner is shown morphed lifting the back of his Raptor Cycle where Elsa rolls under the veichle. It's like a back-wheelie, but pretty impressive move. Elsa tries to fire her sword at Conner on his Raptor Cycle but misses badly. Some things never change. Conner gets off his Raptor Cycle and meets Zeltrax with a stiff side kick in the air which causes earthquake waves. Conner then is on the ground and gets up, saying, "It is so not over." It's the fight vs. the evil White Ranger. Conner gets his Super Dino Mode on. We then see another morphed scene with Ethan and Kira energizing Conner's Battlizer, and the new equipment being put on his suit. Dr. Oliver tells Conner there's a whole world he hasn't tapped into yet. He says be on Triassic Powers in Super Dino Mode, but he has to believe he deserves it. We see Conner gathering energy around him and saying , "Give me the strength!" Conner adds some blue to his suit and says, "Super Fire Power!" Conner has a huge arm that knocks a monster off a cliff and into the ground. He lands nicely. Conner tells Kira he knows he was a jerk but people can change if you give them a chance. The girl says, "You want to do the honors?" Conner says, "To new beginnings." Conner laughs and says, "Ok point made, but what about you gamer dude. You're not exactly cyber geek anymore." Ethan thinks about it and lets off a big smile. Ethan opens his laptop in the garage from the first episode. He plugs it into the wall and types some stuff that will make the sprinklers go off at different times of the day. Ethan says, "You know, ten years from now when your hair lines are receding and you're playing pickup soccer in the park cause your dreams of turning pro never quite worked out, I'll have my own multi-million dollar software business." Yeah." We see Ethan use his strength for the first time to fight Tyranodrones. He lands some stiff looking punches on some Tyranodrones. Ethan is on his bike and fires his Thundermax Sabre in laser mode. Ethan is surrounded by Tyranodrones in a circle and whacks all of them by turning himself around with his Tricera Shield extended from his arms. Flashback from "Bully For Ethan". Ethan then tells Conner's friend, "So here's the deal, I could fight you, but what would that prove. I think I could improve your game. If I do, you promise to back off me and my friends. Conner's friend looks on. Ethan types stuff on his laptop and shows his an image of a player kicking in his style, and compares it to a pro player from Manchester United. The guy asks how he did that. Ethan tells him he's a computer geek. We go to see Ethan's new bike. Ethan says, "Tight, that's for me?" Hayley says yeah. Trent is in the picture. Hayley says the fastest technology, faster than anything she's ever built. Ethan tries his new bike (Hovercraft Cycle) as it morphs into helicopter mode. Ethan kicks back in a chair and asks, "Yeah I'm pretty cool aren't I?" Conner tells him not to get carried away but it's definitely not embarassing hanging out with him anymore. Just for the record, Ethan still plays computer games and forgot to mention the "kid's game" Dragon War cards from last episode. Kira says, "Ok now who needs to learn how to give a compliment." Ethan says that's ok he speaks "Conner". Ethan says, "But you know what still trips me up? Our teacher is a Power Ranger legend. We see from the 500th episode on the TV montior in the lab, Tommy taking off his helmet to reveal himself as the White Ranger. He says, "Guess who's back." Conner tells the group, "Our teacher, is the oldest living Power Ranger." Hayley walks in and says, "Not the oldest, just the best." Some former Rangers would have something to say about that. We go to the first episode where Dr. Oliver is thrown out of a cave by a blast. He takes a lot of breaths. We then go back to him in Mesogog's lab, with Mesogog saying, "My senses tell me this stone traces a power source that will be most useful to me that's where you come in." Dr. Oliver tells him while strapped down on a chair, "Sorry, can't help you there. I'm just a high school science teacher." The scene goes to Dr. Oliver grabbing the rock and going through the invisiportal. We go back to Reefside City with Dr. Oliver standing with his three Ranger students. He tells Elsa and Zeltrax, "There's two things you need to know about Dino Gems, one, you can't choose them, they choose you." Elsa asks, "What's the other?" Dr. Oliver gets his Dino Morpher and says, "They go real well with Dino Morhpers." He has his Dino Gem out and sticks it in his morpher and for the first time morphs. Kira says they owe "him" a lot. Ethan agrees. Conner tells them if they're forgetting who almost ended it for good. We go to the warehouse where Trent turns into the White Ranger (evil) and forces Dr. Oliver to be trapped in amber. Kira explains to the group that he was under the gem's spell and he's different now. Conner says, "Yeah, now if he forgets to tell us that Mesogog is his dad. Glad he's changed." Trent comes down the stairs and says he made a promise. Conner asks, "What about your promise to us?" Trent said he never let his feelings get in the way of his Ranger duties. Dr. Oliver says that may be true but he put them in a difficult position. He says Conner may be right. Dr. Oliver says they don't know how they could ever trust him again. Trent takes a quick breath.

Trent asks the group what he can do to make it right. Trent says he makes no excuses for the harm he's caused and says things haven't been easy for him. We go back to the first episode Trent appeared in and asks Ethan and Kira where Hayley is. That was his first day of work. Ethan says she's around somewhere. He then asks Trent if he's seen him at Reefside. Trent says he just moved there last week. We then see Dr. Oliver confront "Anton Mercer" in the face. Trent asks, "My dad?" Dr. Oliver asks, "Your dad? I had no idea." We go to another scene where Trent asks his dad why he and Dr. Oliver don't "hang out" anymore. Dr. Mercer tells his son that as he grows up he will find that different people come in and out of his life. He says Dr. Oliver and him had their time and now they've both moved onto different tings. We see the first time Trent seeing his father go through the invisiportal. He asks himself, "What are you up to dad?" He himself sees the invisiportal and goes through it. He ends up in Mesogog's lab and inheriting the White Dino Gem. In the present, Trent says he never meant to find the White Dino Gem, he says it found him. He says he tried to fight it but the power was too strong. Ethan and Kira look each other. We go back to the episode where Trent tells Kira that something weird has happened and feels like if he doesn't tell someone, he's going to explode. Kira looks at him and asks what it is, and says he can tell her. We go right into Mesogog's lab where Trent confronts Mesogog. Mesogog says, "Well well well, Anton Mercer's son, Trent. How deliciously...perfect." Trent asks, "What are you talking about freak?" We then see Mesogog collapsing and saying he can't control it. He's turning green and red in the process. We then see a hypnotized Dr. Mercer shaking his head like he had water in his ear. Dr. Mercer says, "Before he controls me." He fixes his tie and walks out. Presumably he was going to teach class. Trent then appears from his cloak and laughs. He must have seen the transformation. We then go to a scene where Trent uses his super flash attack to mark X's on the Rangers' chests. Trent flips and watches the Rangers get nailed. Dr. Mercer is now shown at his residence talking to Trent, telling him, "I hate what he's done to you." Trent tells his father, "But you are Mesogog." Anton Mercer says, "Not by choice." We then see the scene where Trent's gem is turned to good by a result of the laser in Mesogog's lab. Trent is freed by Dr. Mercer collapses. Trent asks his dad what's wrong. His dad tells him he must get ouf of there. Trent says he can help and Dr. Mercer actually raises his voice and yells, "No! I'll find a way to stop this. But until I do I want you to use your powers to do something good." Trent tells his father he won't tell his friends his secret. In the present, Trent says Anton Mercer is the only family he has and knew he couldn't break his promise to him so he decided to fight with the Rangers until he was free of the mutant freak forever. Conner doesn't look impressed. Trent says first he had to free himself by destroying the evil clone of the White Ranger. We see the evil White Ranger some episodes back. Zeltrax says he's an exact duplicate of the White Ranger but with no trace of Trent Mercer in him. We see the White Ranger say, "I'm tired of living in your shadow after this there will only be one White Ranger." He's barely lived at all up to that point. Trent looks at him and morphs. The two go at it. The clone is nailed by the real White Ranger and he falls forward and blows up. Back to the present, Trent says he's sorry he didn't tell them about Mesogog but he thought he (his father) could handle it on his own and so did he but now he knows he was wrong. Dr. Oliver says Anton Mercer was his friend and tells him he understands his loyalty but the question now is do they. Tommy Oliver looks weak as he's ever been, as he's leaving it up to a group of barely experienced Rangers to make a very tough decision? The Rangers look at Trent. Trent looks as if they are going to say no.

In Mesogog's castle, Mesogog yells in his lab he must have a creature that is worthy of his new found power. He goes to the Geno Randomizer and quickly activates it. He yells, "Come forth." We see a weird looking monster (probably an understatement). The monster yells, "Master, what are your orders?" Mesogog is pleased and opens his mouth wide open to say, "Perfect..."

Back at Dr. Oliver's house, Trent claims being a Ranger is the best thing that's ever happened to him and say she doesn't want to lose that. Conner decides to be a jerk and shoots off, "Yeah I've heard that one before." Trent tells the group he wants to prove it. His opportunity arrives, as the computer makes the monster attacking sound. They look at the screen to see the jobber of the day. Dr. Oliver comes up to him and tells him, "Now's your chance." Conner says, "What, you're seriously not going to trust him?" Conner apparently forgot Dr. Oliver is "the oldest living Power Ranger" according to his words and is doubting his wisdom. Kira says, "Look at that thing we have no choice." Ethan says they always have a choice, and chooses that Trent go with them. Conner is the odd man out and shows his true colors. Trent tells them, "Thank you. I won't let you down." Conner says, "I hope not." Dr. Oliver asks, "Ready?" The Rangers get their morphers out and morph, Trent gets his morpher out and morphs. We see the morphing sequence split into five screens. Trent's is in the middle. The Rangers are on top of a building. We see them facing off against the monster, then he disappears. Conner asks, "What the..." The monster's hand then swats the Rangers all away. Conner says, "Oh man!" The monster's foot aims for the Rangers. They all duck out of the way. The Rangers try firing their blasters to no success. The monster then disappears again. He will be twice the size now I guess. Conner asks where he went. The monster then appears normal size. Well, twice the size smaller is right I guess. The monster asks, "Miss me?" Conner says, "Woah!" He fires a blast at the Rangers. Trying to prove his sides, Trent emerges and goes after the monster. Trent gets nailed and is flung back into a nearby harbor into the water. Someone goes with him as well for some reason. Dr. Oliver apparently as Conner, Kira, and Ethan run over. Conner yells, "Guys!" The monster comes up and says, "Two washed up Rangers." They face off and Ethan asks, "Triassic time?" Conner says, "You know it." He gets the big thing out and transforms. Conner says it's time for a little intergalactic action. He transports the monster and himself into space. Maybe they'll run into the hangar where the Delta Megazord used to be stored. Conner says it's just him and the monster. They go at it. Conner gets a nice swipe, then another, then another. We see a view from Conner's back as he slashes the monster. He then tries to bring it all down but the monster grabs his sword and says, "I don't think so." We see the monster give off some energy that sends Conner back to Earth. He's actually falling towards the Japan island. I wonder how they'll tell this one. Conner is on his butt withou the Triassic gear. The monster seems to have landed back as well. Conner notes that was a long way down. He struggles to get up. The monster notes (sounds like a pirate), "The bigger they are the harder they fall." Well I guess in this case. Dr. Oliver, Ethan, and Kira run up fro behind. He turns around to blast the three of them. Conner yells at the monster to leave them alone like he's bullyed them all episode. The monster tells him, "Very well, I'll destroy you!" He fires a big tail like thing with spikes at Conner. Luckily for him, Trent has emerged from the sea to grab the tail. He tells him, "Not so fast." The monster tells him to step aside, it's the Red Ranger he wants. Trent says the Rangers are a team, if he's going to destroy somebody, it better start with him. Trent's tone sounds lame. Conner says, "Woah." Trent releases the tail. Kira notes, "Trent saved Conner." Trent asks the monster now, "Now here's all the tough talk?" The monster says he's through talking. Trent says, "Good." We see Trent getting out his Drago Sword from his holster. Looks like the footage has been chopped as he picks up his weapon. Trent says so is he (about talking). He does the flash attack to the monster. He rolls on the ground and the Rangers gather together. Trent says, "All together guys." They put together the Z-Rex Blaster with all the weapons and point it at the monster. The monster notes, "Oh boy." Dr. Oliver says, "Ready." Trent says, "Aim." Conner fishes it with, "Fire!" The blast is fired and nails the monster. The Rangers run up with the blaster split apart and yell, "Yeah!" The monster falls back. There's a nice view of the harbor behind the Rangers. We see an "eye" on the monster, then the monster says, "Energy transmitted."

Mesogog is watching the fight on his monitor as we see Trent on it. He says, "Fools. I'm just getting started." He pushes a lever up and says, "Replicant Zord come forth!" We see a pretty sweet looking Megazord emerge from the water, head first, similar to the Dragonzord. Conner asks, "Now what?" Ethan says he's copied the Megazord. The colors on the Megazord look like they're from a cartoon. Conner asks how they'll fight that. Dr. Oliver says only one way. He calls for the Brachio Zord and the Dino Zords come running. Dr. Oliver says he will take the Triassic Rover and tells Conner to man the Megazord. The Rangers board their Zords. This isn't the same instrumental music from the opening credits that's playing, it's more serious, and that only means a serious Zord fight is going to happen. Dr. Oliver gets in the Triassic Rover and calls for the Mesodon Megazord. The transformation happens for both Megazords. Trent is nowhere to be seen, which is odd. Did the Rangers and the monster go to another town and leave Trent in the dust? The two Megazords go at it. The Replicant Megazord nails the Thundersaurus Megazord. Usually a monster fighting a Megazord has more speed, but in this case, they have the same speed. Conner yells (while falling back), "Call it guys!" Ethan calls for the Dino Drill. The Replicant Megazord stands there. The Megazord goes for the Dino Drill and runs right through the Replicant Megazord. Dr. Oliver calls for the Hatchet Attack, and that happens. The Replicant Megazord falls forward and blows up. WOW, I thought this would be much harder. Just as I thought, the flames are being sucked in. Dr. Oliver says, "Wait a minute." The monster that was supposively destroyed comes up and says, "Thanks for the energy boost." Conner asks, "Is this a joke?" Dr. Oliver says, "Not funny." The monster says, "As to me." He fires a blast that hits both Megazords. The Rangers are shown falling back. Trent, who has been watching the entire time instead of helping his friends, says he has to help them. He calls for the Drago and Stega Zords. He tells his friends, "Hang on guys." He boards his Drago Zord. When he enters, he says, "Leave my friends alone." The Dino Stegazord is formed instantly. The monster says, "Fine, I'll start with you." The Megazord leaps in the air and Trent calls for Tail Attack. Now we hear the Dino Thunder instrumental music, which means victory for the good guys. The monster is nailed. Trent tells everyone, "This battle is over." The Dino Stegazord swipes the monster with its weapons as it slides past him. The monster sparks. Trent calls for the Dino Stegazord Stinger. It happens and the monster falls forward and really blows up this time. The four rangers, who were threatening to kick Trent out, cheer for Trent. Trent says he meant whet he said. The camera zooms in on Trent's helmet. "I meant what I said." Ok, so?

Ethan tells Trent he was awesome out there. Dr. Oliver thanks Trent for the help and says it's easier when the team works together. Conner, looking all gloomy, has his back to the entire team. Trent thanks his teacher. Trent says, "Like I said, I'm in this for good. If just, you'll have me." Kira says she votes yes. Ethan says him too. Dr. Oliver asks, "Conner?" Conner still looks mad, for whatever reason. Why is he taking this so personally? Or did he finally find out David Beckham got traded from Manchester United? Conner turns around and asks, "Just one question, are you sure you want to do this? I mean there's a really good chance you'll have to face Mesogog one day." The mood changes. Trent nodds his head. Ethan rolls his eyes over to Trent. Trent says if Mesogog wins his father is lost forever. He adds, "Mesogog has to be defeated, no matter what." He shakes his head and the episode ends with Trent's face.
